Important salon policies

We value your time and ask that you respect ours as well. Please review our policies below to ensure the best experience for you and your pet at Paws&Bows, Mill Hill. We pride ourselves on our adaptability and commitment to excellence in every aspect of our service.

Understanding our policies

At Paws&Bows, we aim for transparency and clarity in all our services. These policies are designed to ensure the comfort and safety of your dog, maintain our high standards of care, and help us serve all our clients efficiently. By addressing common situations, we hope to make your experience with us as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

What is Paws&Bows' cancellation policy?

We kindly require at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee. This policy allows us to accommodate other clients and keep our schedule running smoothly.

What happens if I repeatedly miss appointments?

Repeated missed appointments may require prepayment to book future visits with Paws&Bows. This helps us ensure our availability for all our valued clients.

How do you handle matted dog coats?

Your pet’s comfort and safety are our top priority. Severely matted coats may require a short shave-down for humane removal. De-matting can be uncomfortable and may cause skin irritation, bruising, or redness. We always prioritise your pet's well-being over aesthetics.

Are there additional fees for matted coats?

Yes, additional fees will apply for matted coats due to the extra time, care, and specialised equipment required to safely and humanely address them. We will always discuss this with you before proceeding.

What if my dog's coat is extremely matted?

In extreme cases of matting, where grooming could pose significant risks or discomfort to your pet, we may recommend veterinary intervention first to ensure your dog's well-being before proceeding with grooming.

Why do you have these policies?

These policies help us provide the best possible service, ensure the safety and well-being of all pets, and manage our schedule effectively. We want every visit to Paws&Bows to be a positive one for you and your furry friend in Mill Hill.

Your pet’s safety and the safety of our staff is our top priority.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service for dogs that display aggressive behavior toward staff, other dogs, or themselves.
  • Aggression includes growling, biting, lunging, or uncontrollable fear-based behavior.
  • If your dog shows aggression during the appointment, grooming may be stopped for safety reasons.
  • Additional fees may apply if extra staff or time is required to safely handle aggressive dogs.

🦟 Flea & Parasite Policy

We maintain a clean and healthy environment for all pets.

  • Dogs infested with fleas or ticks may require a flea bath before grooming.
  • Additional flea treatment fees will apply.
  • Grooming may be rescheduled or declined if the infestation is severe, to prevent spread to other pets.
